Message from Head Teacher

Welcome to the Caerleon Lodge Hill Primary School website.

Lodge Hill Primary is situated on the outskirts of Newport in the beautiful and historically rich location of Caerleon. We are very fortunate to have moved in to an amazing new building in November 2018. This wonderful learning environment continues to have a positive impact on the well-being of the whole school community. We are all aware of the privilege it is to have a new school and we were very grateful to have been able to contribute towards the design of our new school throughout the process.

We pride ourselves on providing the children with a welcoming, caring and supportive environment where their well-being is nurtured and they can succeed and achieve their full potential.

We have high expectations for all of our pupils and Lodge Hill is a school that sees well-being and achievement as central to everything. We also place importance on ensuring that children in our school are prepared for the future and become healthy, confident individuals with a lifelong love of learning.

We are fortunate to have a dedicated and highly professional team of teachers and support staff. We expect the highest standards from our children and we work together with our children and their families to ensure that the children are given the opportunity to learn in a safe, positive and supportive environment.

The school’s Governing Body is supportive, dynamic and where necessary challenging. They work hard to contribute to the strategic direction of the school.

At Lodge Hill Primary we value the close partnership that exists between school, parents and the wider community and we look forward to working together to provide the very best opportunities for our children.
